Cedefop’s May 2020 issue of ‘Skillset and match’ is now available

The issue looks at the below, and much more:

  • The rise of online platform work and how it impacts skills;
  • An interview with Nicolas Schmit (European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights) commenting on how the Commission’s skills agenda has become an even stronger priority due to the social and economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic
  • The views of Cedefop Executive Director Jürgen Siebel, who argues that Europe should be ready to respond when it gets on top of the current health crisis, so no-one suffers long-term effects;

Academia+ will be soon coordinating an online training opportunity around the theme: ‘Counselling Migrants and Refugees’.
This will be a 4 day online training course which will be delivered through a series of webinars on the 28th of May and the 2nd, 4th and 9th of June 2020. Topics will include:

· Intercultural Awareness

· Access to the Labour Market

· Client Empowerment

· Specific Supportive Measures

The participant limit has already been reached, however material from the training will be uploaded on the Academia+ project website (see link above) following its conclusion and made available to the entire Guidance community. So keep this e-mail handy and check back after the 9th of June !
